Beauxbatons Castle is located in the south of France, close to Cannes. This luxurious palace serves as both a learning and living environment for the students during their years at the school. Schooling begins at age eleven, and is seven years long. Exams are taken in the sixth year, unlike at Hogwarts. The castle is hidden to those that don’t know where to find it, such as muggles and students from other schools. Students are free to wander the spacious grounds, as well as the neighboring villages and beaches.
The Dining Hall/Lounge Room is where all meals and gatherings are held. Since there are no houses at Beauxbatons, students are free to sit with whomever they please. Meals are very light at the academy, and a chorus of wood nymphs serenade the students while they eat. In the winter the hall is decorated by ice sculptures that never melt; these sculptures are said to appear as if they are made from diamond. The Dining Hall is cleared and used for special events such as balls.
There are three common rooms - one for each house. Common rooms feature a comfortable sitting area, a fireplace, bookcases, and other assorted amenities. Boys and girls are allowed to enter each others’ common rooms for the purpose of socializing, but it must be before nine o’clock. After nine a password is put into effect on the common room doors to prevent students from going into the common room of the opposite sex, and all students are supposed to return to their respective dormitories. There is also a password separating the common rooms from the dorms.
The dormitories are separated by girls and boys. Girls are in the east wing of the castle, boys are in the west. Each year has their own floor - first years on the ground floor of the dorms, seventh years on the seventh, and so on. First, second, and third years each sleep with five to a room. Fourth years sleep three to a room, fifth years sleep two to a room, and sixth and seventh years are granted single rooms. First through fourth years sleep in single beds, due to the large number of beds per room, fifth years receive double beds, and sixth/seventh years sleep in queen size beds. All dorms feature enough beds for the occupants, as well as dressers, closets, and vanities. Special requests for additional items may be placed, and will likely be granted - Beauxbatons spares no expense to ensure that its students are properly cared for. Bathrooms are shared per floor
The Library -
Beauxbatons collection of books is probably something the other school has been wanting to get their hands on for years. The collection is quite impressive, and one can look up nearly anything they desire to know within its stacks. There's also a very large amount of books on supernatural creatures. There books about dark arts are locked away, you'd need to know where the secret passage is and which spell to use to get through.

The Rose Garden -
The cenote is located somewhere deep in the forest. It's mostly for teachers but there are always some students, such as Prefects and Head girl and boy who are privileged to go. It is open to the sky with the water level about 26 metres (85 ft) below ground level. There is a carved stairway down to a swimming platform. The cenote is about 60 metres (200 ft) in diameter and about 40 metres (130 ft) deep. There are vines which reach from the opening all the way down to the water along with small waterfalls. There are black catfish which swim in the cenote.
